My favorite time of year.
Yes I've said it before. March Madness is by far my favorite time of year. Wall to wall to wall to wall basketball on the first 2 days of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. And no I didn't stutter while I typed. I spent the whole day at a local tavern (yes, a tavern) watching basketball on multiple walls. And it was wonderful!
Bracket busters? There were at least 2.
Buzzer beaters? I think 4.
Boring blowouts? Yup, 2 or 3.
Today had it all except for an overtime game. But those buzzer beaters definitely made up for it.
As stated, I spend the day at a local tavern. A Christian in a tavern? Yea so what. My friend & I did this very same thing last year and enjoyed ourselves immensely. It was fun just being able to watch basketball without any deadlines or production requirements or family's needing you to do this or that. It's the two days of the year that I truly, truly, truly get to myself. I don't drink. I just have some good, clean fun watching sports. That's me.
And yes, my bracket is busted to say the least. I think on ESPN's rankings I'm somewhere in the millions on 3 of my brackets. I forgot about the others places I signed up on so who knows how well I'm actually doing.
No matter. It's my favorite time of year. Unless of course, my Arizona Wildcats lose tomorrow & then I may not post anything for a while.
Until next time (let's hope),
RSPS Sunny
